JU defeats CU Haryana by 30 runs

JAMMU, Oct 16: The University of Jammu (JU) secured a 30-run victory against Central University Mahendragarh, Haryana, in the All India Vice Chancellors Cup 2024, organized by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
After winning the toss, Jammu University chose to bat and posted 155 runs in their 20 overs. Sandeep Bakshi was the top scorer with 41 runs from 37 balls, while Shantul Raina added a quickfire 24 off 13 balls. Central University’s Dinesh Chowhan was exceptional, taking 6 wickets for 30 runs.
In response, Central University was restricted to 125 runs for 9 wickets. Vikas contributed 25 off 26 balls. Raj Kumar Bakshi starred with the ball for JU, taking 3 wickets for 26 runs, with support from Niranjan, who claimed 2 wickets. Raj was named Man of the Match for his excellent performance.
