JAMMU, Jan 4: In the ongoing All India Vice-Chancellor’s T-20 Cricket Tournament (Male) 2023, University of Jammu defeated Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Ludhiana by three wickets here today and entered into semi-final round.
After batting first, Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana scored 159 for all-out in 20 overs. Rupinder scored 36 in 23 balls, Kailash scored 32 runs in 18 balls and Simar scored 28 in 31 balls. For the University of Jammu, Raj Kumar Bakshi took three wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs. Balwant also took three wickets, Karan and Rajesh took one wicket each.
In reply, University of Jammu team chased down the given target in 18 overs for the loss of seven wickets and won this match by three wickets. Niranjan scored 64, Aman scored unbeaten 25, Balwant scored unbeaten 20 and Raj Kumar Bakshi 14. For PAU University Ludhiana, Guri Sohi and Dev Chandolia took two wickets each; Vinod, Kalaish, and Barinder took one wicket each. Raj Kumar Bakshi was declared man of the match. Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu appreciated the team for brilliant performance. Jammu University will take MDU Rohtak in semifinal match tomorrow.
