JAMMU, Oct 19: The University of Jammu triumphed over SBP University Pune by 21 runs in their fourth match of the All India VC Cup 2024, organized by Panjab University, Chandigarh. Winning the toss, the University of Jammu elected to bat first, posting a total of 201 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Shantul Raina scored 50 runs off 28 balls, followed by Shami Kumar with 46 runs off 35 balls, and Niranjan, who added 33 runs from 21 balls. Other notable scores included Rajesh with 15 runs, Raj Kumar 12 runs, and Suheel with 16 runs.
In response, SBP University Pune managed to score 185 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Vinod top-scored with an unbeaten 51 runs off 35 balls, supported by Nitin with 45 runs off 28 balls and Manish with 43 runs off 28 balls.
For the University of Jammu, Raj Kumar Bakshi shone with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 32 runs, while Balwant, Shami and Rajesh each claimed 1 wicket. Shami Kumar was declared as the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
