JAMMU, Oct 15: The University of Jammu emerged victorious against SKUAST Jammu by 16 runs in the All India VC Cup 2024, organized by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Winning the toss, Jammu University elected to bat first and scored 188 runs in 20 overs. Key contributions came from Rajesh, who scored an unbeaten 56 runs, Sandeep Bakshi with 40 not out, and Shantul Raina, who added 45 runs in just 18 balls.
In response, SKUAST Jammu managed to score 172 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Neeraj Manhas was the standout performer with the bat, scoring an impressive 105 not out off 62 balls, while Vinod added 23 runs.
For Jammu University, Karan excelled with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 29 runs, supported by Raj Kumar Bakshi with 2 wickets, and Balwant and Rajesh, who claimed 1 wicket each. Director of Sports and Physical Education, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, along with the management team, congratulated the winning team.
