JAMMU, Jan 21: Jammu University defeated Aries-7 Women Hockey Club (WHC) by three goals to nil (3-0) in the first match of the Women Hockey Championship, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here.
Kirti Sharma scored the first goal in 15th minute, Rishu netted the second goal in 25th minute, while the third goal was scored by Taniya Mahajan in 55th minute.
The match was officiated by Jaspreet Singh, Sohail Azeem, Joginder Singh and Mohd Amin.
Prominent among others preset on the occasion were PD Singh, Charanjeet Singh, Janak Singh, M S Reen and GS Bakshi, general secretary of Hockey J&K.
