JAMMU, Dec 16: Continuing their strike against suspension of two Watchmen over the defacement of Replica Stone on campus, the Class-IV employees and Casual workers of Jammu University held a protest demonstration today.
The protesting employees suspended their work for three hours and assembled in front of the Administration Block. They raised slogans against the JU administration and in support of their demand.
The protest was organized under the banner of Jammu University Non-Gazetted Employees Union and the employees also took out a march on the campus.
Addressing the protesting employees, NGEU president Vijay Sharma warned to further intensify the ongoing token strike if the suspended employees are not reinstated immediately.  He also challenges the transfer policy of the Jammu University and alleged that some blue eyed officers were enjoying the important positions for years together. He particularly mentioned about AR Establishment, who was occupying the same position for the last 12 years.
The protest demonstration was also addressed by general secretary Banarsi Lal, Mulakh Raj, Deep Raj, Shambhu Nath, Bishan Dass and others.
