JAMMU, July 25: The Inter-Departmental Tournament for the session 2022-23 commenced today at Directorate of Sports of Physical Education, University of Jammu, organized by Chairman Campus Sports Committee, University of Jammu. The tournaments are being played in the discipline of Badminton (Male) and Carrom (Male/Female).
Earlier, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman, Campus Sports Committee inaugurated the Inter-Departmental Tournament and interacted with the players of various departments participating in different disciplines.
The detailed result of the matches of different disciplines are Carrom (Male) Geography Department defeated Electronics Department by (2-0), LifeLong Learning Department defeated Library Science by (2-0), Zoology Department defeated The Law School by (2-0) and Geography Department defeated Electronics Department by (2-0).
In Badminton (Male), Economics Department defeated English Department by (2-0) set score (21-17, 21-17), The Law School defeated DSRS Department (2-0) set score (21-15, 21-17), Electronic Department defeated D.D.E and OE by (2-0) set score (21-08, 21-11), Political Science defeated Geography Department by (2-0) set score (21-09, 21-15).
The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, Jai Bharat, Raj Kumar Bakshi and Padam Dev Singh.
