JAMMU, June 9: Good all-round show by skipper Rajesh Salhotra and brilliant bowling display by Pawan Singh Bhau helped Jammu University employees team to outplay Information Department by 3 wickets in the Varsity grounds, here today. Earlier, batting first Information Department scored 134 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ajeet top scored with 30 runs, while Arun contributed 27 runs to the total. For JU, Pawan Singh Bhau was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 important wickets, while Rajesh Salhotra, Balwant, Avtar and Aman claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Jammu University completed their run chase in17.5 overs. For JU, Rajesh Salhotra top scored with 28 runs, while Avtar contributed valuable 26 runs to the total. Shammi and Aman chipped in with 17 and 20 runs respectively.
This was JU’s 13th consecutive win in friendly matches.
