JAMMU, Nov 6: The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association held its meeting today for discussing the reservation matters.
The meet demanded that the reservation roster should be maintained in Establishment Wing of the University as per the existing reservation norms.
The meeting also urged the Vice-Chancellor to apprise the Association members about the action taken on the memorandum, which was submitted to him on September 2, 2013.
Besides, the meeting demanded representation for SCs and STs in all the competent bodies of the University as per the instructions of the University Grants Commission. The Association members also demanded accommodation for opening office of the body in the campus.
Those who attended the meeting, included, R L Kaith, Surjeet Singh Heer, Mulkh Raj, Om Parkash, Paras Ram, B R Angral, Kartar Chand, Sukhdev Bhagat, Kunj Lal and Rajesh Kumar.
