JU shines in National Yoga Sports Foundation

JAMMU, Nov 14: Jammu University achieved remarkable success at the National Yoga Sports Foundation (Men & Women) Championship 2024-25, held at Monad University, Hapur, Ghaziabad.
The university team won a total of 15 individual medals, showcasing their skills in both men’s and women’s categories. Leading the achievements, Nitika clinched a Gold medal, while Jahnvi, Diksha, Meenakshi, Pooja, Amandeep, Tofeeq, Bignesh, and Sajid earned Silver medals. Bronze medalists included Priya, Lobzang, and Sahil, each demonstrating exceptional talent and dedication across various yogasana events.
In addition to her Gold, Nitika Sharma received the prestigious “Miss Charming Girl” title at the Miss Yoga India Competition, further enhancing Jammu University’s reputation. The university’s athletes were trained under the expert guidance of coach Sanjeev Kumar.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director of Sports and Physical Education, congratulated the medalists, stating, “This achievement reflects our students’ hard work and dedication to excellence. Jammu University is incredibly proud of their national-level success.” Team Managers Rainu and Samika accompanied the athletes, whose achievements have brought immense pride to Jammu University, reinforcing its commitment to promoting yoga and holistic development in sports.
