JAMMU, Dec 1: Jammu University sailed into the semifinals of the All India Vice Chancellors Cup T20 Cricket Tournament by defeating PAU, Ludhiana in a quarterfinals today.
After winning the toss electing to bat first, JU scored 152 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process.
Rajkumar Bakshi scored unbeaten 75 runs, while Ameet Targotra contributed 29 runs to the total. Akash, Niranjan and Sonu contributed 21, 21and 20 runs respectively.
In reply, PAU University bundled out for 127 runs. Vinod and Krishan scored 30 and 24 runs respectively. For JU, Rajkumar Bakshi and Daud Iqbal Baba scalped 3 wickets each, while Rajesh Salhotra claimed 2 and Pawan Singh 1 wicket.
JU will play its semifinal wth Kashmir University. Rajkumar Bakshi was adjudged man of the match.
