JAMMU, Feb 2: Thirteen member Jammu University fencing team has been selected for their participation in the All India-Inter University Fencing Championship to be held at Punjab University, Patiala from February 4 to 7.
Sahib Gupta of PG (MCA), Maheshwar Sharma of New Modern College, Monika Sharma of GWC Parade, Veer Sangram Singh of MAM College and Anupam of GDC Reasi will participate in the EPEE event, while Mohd Tariq of MAM College, Dushant Magotra of MIET College, Abhinav Pandotra of GDC Reasi and Satish Lani of MAM College will took part in Foil event. Sushant of GGM Science College, Rajay Kumar of PG Jammu University and Mohit Sharma of GGM Science College will participate in Sabre event.
International Fencer Rashid Ahmed and Ajay Khatrol will accompany the team as coach and manager respectively.
The team was selected under the guidance of Dhyan Singh Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Jammu University.
