Junior Hockey Tourney for Men inaugurated

JAMMU, Apr 17: Organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K Sports Council, the Junior Hockey Tournament (Men) for District Jammu was inaugurated at Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, here today.
The first match was played between Bandhu Rakh Hockey Club and Hiranagar Hockey Club in which Hiranagar Hockey Club won by 4-1 goals. From Hiranagar, goals were scored by Adhiraj Singh, Krishna Banotra, Nitish Bakshi and Aryan Singh.
Second match was played between Khalsa Juniors Gole Gujral and MBS Club Simbal. The match was won by Khalsa Juniors by 4-1. From Khalsa Juniors, one goal each was scored by Jotveer Singh and Kamalpreet Singh while Tejveer netted 2 goals.
The Tournament was inaugurated by Rajeev Sharma (president, Hockey J&K) who was also main guest of the first match. Second match’s guest was Rajinder Singh (senior vice president, Hockey J&K).
GS Bakshi (former secretary general, Hockey J&K), Ishan Sharma (treasurer, Hockey J&K), Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi (secretary general, Hockey J&K), Gurpreet Singh (vice president, Hockey J&K), Tajinder Singh (resident secretary, Hockey J&K), Daljit Singh (member, Hockey J&K), RP Singh and Matinder Pal Singh were also present at the event .
The matches were officiated by technical panel of Gurjit Singh (International Hockey Player), Tajinder Singh (organizing secretary), Balmeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh, D Singh, Iqbal Singh and Ishfaq Ahmed.
