Junior National Grappling C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Nov 26: Senior BJP leader and MLA, Yudhvir Sethi, attended the closing ceremony of 17th GFI Junior National Grappling Championship 2024, held here today.
The Championship witnessed the participation of over 450 athletes representing 22 States.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi urged the youth to consider sports as a viable career option.
He also appreciated the organizing committee for bringing a tournament of such magnitude to Jammu.
Grappling Federation of India (GFI), along with J&K Grappling Association, played a pivotal role in successful organization of the event.
Dignitaries present on the occasion were Vikram Singh Bhadwal, president Grappling Association of J&K; Gulginder Singh, general secretary; Chanvir Singh, organizing working president and officials Sabodh Kumar Yadav, general secretary GFI and Balvinder Singh, senior vice president GFI.
In the Championship, J&K athletes performed exceptionally well, securing 17 medals including 4 gold, 3 silver and 10 bronze medals.
The event concluded with a vibrant display of camaraderie and enthusiasm, leaving a lasting impression on the participants and attendees alike.
