JAMMU, Jan 28: J&K-UT Kabaddi team left for the 49th Junior National Kabaddi Championship in both boys and girls section to be held at Hyderabad from February 1 to 4, 2024.
The selected team in Boys section are Lakshman (Jammu) (Captain),Mohd. Ashraf (Kathua), Arsalam Rasool Rather (Srinagar), Rohit Singh (Jammu), Sajad Ali Maqbool (Poonch), Deepankar Sharma (Jammu), Abhishek Chib (Jammu), Mir Danish Manzoor (Anantnag), Vansh Sharma (Jammu), Rahul Singh (Jammu) Moomin Qayoom (Baramulla) and Akash Sharma (Jammu). Mohd. Yaqoob will be the manager of the team and Mohd. Amin as coach.
In the girls team Kriti (Udhampur) (Captain), Gazala Gulzar (Srinagar), Divya Chouhan (Samba), Shakura Begum (Kathua), Ravina (Kathua), Taniya Sotra (Samba), Kiran Katoch (Ramban), Vanshika (Jammu), Sukriti Sharma (Jammu), Divya Wazir (Jammu), Komal Sharma (Doda) and Meenakshi (Udhampur). Mohd. Amin will be the manager of the team and Kajal Devi as the coach.
Kuldeep Gupta, CEO, J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association distributed track suits and sports kits among the selected players in the presence of Dr Jagandeep Singh, Sandeep Singh Risan and Suraj Bhan Singh, Manager, Indoor Stadium. Baljinder Singh, Divisional Sports Officer and his team screened the team, as per the statement issued. Anil Gupta, President, General Secretary Surinder Mohan Gupta of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association also blessed the UT Kabaddi teams for the Championship.
