JU’s Deptt of Commerce organises Chess competition

JAMMU, Mar 12: The event management and sports club of Department of Commerce at University of Jammu hosted an exhilarating Chess competition here today, showcasing the intellectual prowess and strategic acumen of its M.Com students.
The competition which drew participation from a pool of talented individuals featured four standout contestants Mansha Mahajan, Shiwani Sharma, Mytri Angral and Keshav Sharma. In a display of exceptional skill and determination, Mansha Mahajan and Shiwani Sharma emerged as the victors, demonstrating their mastery over the intricacies of the game.
Dr Jeevan Jyoti, Head of the Department of Commerce extended appreciation to all participants and especially commended the outstanding performance of Mansha Mahajan and Shiwani Sharma.
The event coordinated by Dr Tarsem Lal, Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce, showcased the department’s commitment to providing a holistic educational experience that encompasses both academic rigor and extracurricular engagement. The enthusiasm and support of the department’s faculty members, research scholars, and students added to the vibrant atmosphere of the event.
