JAMMU, May 18: The Jammu University’s employees tournaments, organized by Campus Sports Committee, concluded in various disciplines including Table-Tennis (M&W) Carrom (M&W), Cricket (M), Chess (M&W) and Badminton (M&W), here today.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Chairman, Campus Sports Committee University of Jammu.
In the Cricket final, Team B beats Team F by 39 runs.
In Badminton (M): Shantul Raina beat Gagandeep Singh by (21-09) points, Shantul Raina defeated Tarseem Singhby (21-12) points and Narianjan Singh beat Sharat Sharma by (21-11) points, while in semifinals, Shantul Raina trounced Dr. Sandeep Arya by (21-10) points and Vishal Sudan beat Niranjan Singh by (21-10) points, besides in finals, Shantul Raina beat Vishal Sudan by (21-05) points.
In Badminton (W) double semifinals, Sonika Sharma & Seema Rathore beat Dr. Kusam Sharma & Pooja Manhas by (21-08) points, while Komal Bakshi & Rinkey Bazaz defeated Azmat Chowdhary & Dr. Sumita Amla by (21-12) points, and in finals, Sonika Sharma & Seema Rathore trounced Komal Bakshi & Rinkey Bazaz by (21-13) points.
In Chess (Women): Pooja Manhas beat Sumita Amla, Sunny Bhat defeated Anshu Khajuria and Sunny Bhat beat Azmat Chowdhary, while in Chess (Women) final, Pooja Manhas beat Sunny Bhat. In men, Vishal Sharma beat Dr. Sandeep Arya and Maxim Singh beat Vishal Sudan, whereas Dr. Rakesh Chib defeated Nikhil Sharma, Dr. Akhilesh Sharma beat Tinku Kumar, Maxim Singh beat Dr. Akhilesh Sharma, Vishal Sharma defeated Dr. Rakesh Chib and Maxim Singh beat Vishal Sharma (finals).
In Carrom double (Men): Er. Deepak Anand & Er. Rajesh Kumar beat Dr.Akhilesh Sharma & Sahil Anand, while in final, Er. Deepak Anand & Er. Rajesh Kumar defeated Dr. Sandeep Arya & Joginder Singh.
The matches were officiated by Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, Padam Dev Singh, Jai Bharat and Ashok Singh Bali.
