JAMMU, May 14: The Inter-Departmental Tournaments organized by the Campus Sports Committee of the University of Jammu, concluded at the Gymnasium Hall of the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, here today.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, who interacted with the finalists on the occasion. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Vikas Kailopia, Harvinder Singh and Pardeep Kumar.
In Carom Men final, Geography Department beat Mathematics Department by 2-0, while in the semifinals, Mathematics Department defeated Law School by 2-1 and Geography Department trounced Physical Education Department by 2-0.
In Carom Women final, MCA Department outplayed Law School by 2-0, while in the semifinals earlier, Law School beat Geology Department by 2-1 and MCA Department beat Physical Education Department by 2-1.
In Table Tennis Men final, Physical Education Department beat Mathematics Department by 3-0, while in Table Tennis Women final, Political Science Department drubbed Mathematics Department by 3-0.
The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Gagan Kumar, Pardeep Kumar and Sanjeev Sharma.
