JAMMU, Jan 5: Jammu University Women Chess team today left to participate in the forthcoming North-Zone Inter-University Chess (Women) tournament 2023-24 here today.
The Championship will be organised by Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (UP) at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium of Bundelkhand University, Jhansi from January 8 to 10, 2024.
The selected Jammu University Chess team includes Bhawana Sharma, Taruni Bakshi, Unvesha Sharma, Naina Sharma, Mansha Mahajan and Mussarit Nayeem. Inderjeet Singh and Manisha Manhas will accompany the team as Coach and Manager respectively. Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Vimal Kishore, Padam Dev Singh, Jai Bharat, Harinderpal Singh & Manu Singh Pawar.
