SRINAGAR, July 2: Ensure fair and speedy disposal of cases with priority to old cases, said the Judge of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul while inspecting the working of judiciary at District Court Pulwama.
While reviewing the functioning of the judiciary, Justice Koul emphasized on the need to ensure fair delivery of justice and speedy disposal of cases with priority to old cases.
During his visit to District Court Pulwama, he interacted with members of the Bar who projected various demands. On the occasion, Justice Koul assured them that their genuine demands shall be addressed without any delay.
While interacting with the Deputy Commissioner, Justice Koul emphasized on the development of required infrastructure for the District Court.
He also interacted with the judicial officers of the District and other staff of the court.
Meanwhile, he was briefed by Principal District & Session Judge, Ab Rashid Malik, regarding the functioning of judiciary in the District and measures taken to ensure fair and speedy disposal of cases and fulfillment of infrastructural requirements.
Among others present on the occasion were SSP Pulwama, officers of District administration, judicial officers and lawyers.
