JUTA holds general body meeting

JAMMU, Apr 3: The Jammu University Teachers Association (JUTA) today organized its general body meeting to deliberate upon various issues pertaining to teaching fraternity.
Prof J P Singh Joorel, president of JUTA, while presenting the detailed report on various issues, told the house that many issued within the preview of the Vice Chancellor were under consideration and he impressed upon the university authorities for making a serious effort in early resolution of these issues, which include release of 6th Pay Commission arrears, time bound implementation of various university orders concerning the teaching fraternity, etc.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Prof Rajinder Gupta, Prof Tajjudeen, Dr K S Charak, Prof Dalip Singh, Prof Yash Paul, Dr Varinder Kundal, Dr Sham Narayan and Dr Rakesh Vaid
Dr Kavita Suri presented the vote of thanks while Dr Vivek Sharma, treasurer JUTA, presented the budget for the year 2013-14.
