JAMMU, Oct 10: For the second consecutive day, members of Jammu University Teachers Association suspended the class work and held a dharna infront of the Administration Block on the campus in protest against the proposed implementation of UGC amended regulation 2013.
The protesting JUTA members raised slogans in support of the demand for deliberations on the amended regulation before its implementation, which they claimed would adversely affect the teaching fraternity.
Addressing the dharna, JUTA president Prof J P Singh Joorel accused the JU administration of showing exceptional interest for implementation of the amended guidelines without deliberating its effects on the teaching fraternity at any platform.
