JWAM holds protest against PDD

JAMMU, Jan 30: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demonstration against Power Development Department (PDD) here at Janipur-High Court Road under the leadership of its president, Sunil Dimple.
The protesters demanded installation of New transformers and warned that if the Government failed to do so then tomorrow again Roads will be blocked and all VIP movement will be stopped and the offices of PDD and Ministers will be gheraoed.
The activists of JWAM followed by local residents including children and women raised slogans against PDD and disrupted traffic movement on busy Janipur-High Court Road. They were demanding fresh electrification of Jammu city and its outskirts, installation of new transformers and uninterrupted power supply in the metered areas.
Later on the assurances of PDD officers, who sought some time for redressing their issues, the protestors dispersed.
