JAMMU, Jan 9: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today staged a protest demonstration along with students demanding start of 4G internet services in J&K.
The protest was led by JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple who said that the government should either start 4G internet services in J&K or instruct companies to stop charging rent for the same.
He termed the extension of ban on 4G internet services till January 22 as unfortunate and said that there would be a mass agitation against the new industrial policy, power project MOU and in support of farmers.
The JWAM leader demanded that the Centre should return J&K power projects and scrap the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan.
He announced that the agitation for restoration of statehood to J&K with special status will continue.
“We will also start agitation demanding repealing of farm laws,” he maintained.
Arjun Kumar, Tarun Kumar, Rajan Kumar, Yunis Khan, Sayeed Ali, Anmol Anand, Arjun Sharma, Divanshu, Astik, Anurudh, Arjun Gupta and others were also present in the protest.
