K K Trust honours meritorious students, donates hearing aids

JAMMU, Sept 14 : Kamal Kanta Educational and Welfare Trust celebrated its foundation day in a function held at Sarwal today.
On the occasion, the Trust honoured meritorious students for achieving excellence in education. While speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of the Trust Dr Y,S. Manhas said that the children being future of the society must be given opportunities to excel in education which is as important as are eyes to the blind.
The Trust also honoured social activist R.L.Kaith for his eminent services rendered for the good of others. Dr Manhas said trust is proud by honouring Kaith who has been contributing tirelessly in all aspects of voluntary service whether it be practical assistance to others or community activities or raising funds for charity.
Other awardee included Tarun Lakhotra for winning seven medals in athleteties in various State Championships.
The Trust also provided Hearing Aids to the needy persons who included Veero Devi, Piara Lal Lakhotra, Tara Chand.Bassa and Raj Singh Nandan.
