JAMMU, June 7: J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association has advised the players to register themselves with the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association as per the decision of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India.
Anil Kumar Gupta, president of the Association said that those players of the State who will not register themselves with J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association will not be allowed to participate in District, State, North Zone, All India Tournament, Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Nationals, Beach and Circle Style. The circular in this regard have already been sent to all the affiliated District units/Department.
For the participation in Senior National, the maximum weight for men is below 80 kgs and for women below 70 kgs, while for Junior National Kabaddi Championship, the maximum weight and age for boys is below 65 kgs and age below 20 years and girls below 60 kgs and age below 20 years.
For Sub-Junior National Kabaddi Championship, the maximum weight and age for boys is below 50 kgs and age below 16 years and girls below 50 kgs and age below 16 years.
The players participating in the Sub-Junior and Junior National must produce the Original Certificate/Mark Sheet of the Board Examination of VII standard SSC/HSC/CBSE or Original Birth Certificate from the institution as age proof before participation in the selection-cum-trial will be conducted by the association before participation in the Nationals.
The Random dope test will also be conducted during the National Kabaddi Championships.
Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, general secretary J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association said all State Kabaddi players will be registered before September 30, 2014 before participation in the coming Nationals of this year but the applications for registration of players fresh/renewal/change will be entertained from June 15 to September 30 of every year in near future.
