Kabaddi Association to register players

JAMMU, June 15: The J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association has advised all the kabaddi players to register themselves with the Association as per the decision of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India.
According to a handout issued here, president of the Association, Anil Gupta has advised all the State kabaddi players to register with the Association and warned those who will not register with J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association that they will not be allowed to participate in any affiliated tournament including North Zone, All India Tournament, Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior Nationals, Beach and Circle Style
He said the Association has already sent the circulars to all the affiliated District units of the State to register the players with the State Association.
Meanwhile, for participation in Senior Nationals, the maximum weight for men is below 80 kgs and women below 70 kgs. while for participation in Junior Nationals, the maximum weight and age for boys is below 60 kgs and age below 19 years and girls below 50 kgs and age below 17 years.
For participation in Sub-Junior National the maximum weight and age for boys is below 51 kgs and age below 16 years and girls below 45 kgs and age below 14 years. The players participating in the Sub-Junior and Junior National must produce the Original Certificate/Mark sheet of the Board examination of VIII standard SSC/HSC/CBSE or Original Birth Certificate from the institution as age proof before participation in the Selection-Cum-Trial will be conducted by the association before participation in the Nationals. The Random dope test will also be conducted during the National Kabaddi Championships.
Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, general secretary J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association said all State Kabaddi Players will be registered from June 20 to August 31, 2013 before participation in the coming Nationals of current year but the application for registration of players’ fresh/renewal/NOC will be entertained by or before  August 31, 2013.
