REASI, Mar 8: District Police organized a Kabaddi tournament at High School Ransoo under Civic Action Programme to provide a platform to the youth of far flung areas of the district, here today.
Four teams including Ransoo Warrior, Sanger Kabaddi Club, Shivkhori Kabaddi Club and Jai Ho Kabaddi Club participated in the event and played league matches on knockout basis.
The final match was played between Shivkhori Kabaddi Club and Ransoo Warrior Club in which Shivkhori Kabaddi Club won the match by defeating team Ransoo Warrior Club by 39-20 points and won a winner trophy along with cash reward.
SHO Ransoo Rakesh Bamba, I/c PP Shivkhori, Pawan Kumar, Sarpanches, Panches and others witnessed the final match.
The trophies and cash prizes were distributed among the players by DySP Headquarter Neeraj Padyar and praised the sportsmanship of the players.
SSP Reasi Amit Gupta said that sports activities are must for a healthy youth, and Jammu Kashmir Police is providing opportunities and platform so that the youth can excel in their respective fields.
