Kailakh Trust delegation meets DSEJ, seeks Sanskrit to be compulsory in schools

JAMMU, May 3: The members of Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan Trust members called on the Director of School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma and submitted him a memorandum urging that Sanskrit language should be made compulsory from the first class in the schools of Jammu and Kashmir.
Trustee Ajay Sharma also presented a book written by the head of the Trust, Mahant Rohit Shastri and informed about the Devvani Sanskrit and social works being done by the trust.
The Trust General Secretary Parbodh Sharma said that the land of Jammu and Kashmir has been the eternal center of Shaivism and on this holy land the founder of Pratyabhijnadarshan, Acharya Abhinava Gupta, great poet Kalhan, great poet Vilhan and many ancient Sanskrit sages have originated. “The birth place of the Acharyas who paved the way to unite not only India but also the whole world with their genius, the same Jammu-Kashmir is becoming died out of Sanskrit today. If the Government fulfills our demands, then the morale of Sanskrit workers will increase and with such efforts it is possible to restore the lost Sanskrit philosophy in the State,” he explained.
The delegation comprised of Trust members Uttam Chand Sharma, Kuldeep Khajuria, Bablu Sharma and Kuldeep Sharma.
