Kaka of Punjab lifts 6th Sool-Pamote Kesari title

KATRA, Jan 16: Wrestler Kaka of Amritsar in Punjab lifted the 6th Annual Sool-Pamote Kesari Dangal title defeating wrestler Farooq of Sarore in Jammu in the main bout that lasted for 17 minutes at village Pamote, near here.
Wrestler Kaka was adjusted as the best wrestler of the dangal which was organized by Sool-Pamote Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. The winner got a prize of Rs 15,000 from the chief guest, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council and Chairman of the Dangal Committee Rattan Lal, while the runners-up wrestler Farooq got Rs 10,000 by Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Raj Kumar (Baboo).
In all, 68 bouts were played in the one day long dangal.
The second main bout was fought between wrestler Gurpesh of Amritsar V/S Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu. This bout was won by Gurpesh, he was awarded with cash prize of Rs 1,000 by Pandit Tara Chand and Lala Singh Choudhary while runner-up wrestler Amir Khan got Rs 4,000 by Joginder Pal and Surinder Kumar.
