JAMMU, May 14: Member State Sports Council and BCCI, Ranjeet Kalra has been appointed as observer by the State Sports Council, Govts elitist Sports Agency in the State, to oversee the forthcoming elections of the J&K Olympic Association scheduled to be held on May 24, 2015 at Jammu.
Kalra wide order no Sc/844/362-63 has been directed to observe the proceedings of the elections as per the decisions of the Standing Committee of No SC/202/2599-2606.
As per the decisions, the president of the Association can hold office for a maximum period of 12 years with or without break and the secretary general or treasurer can serve a maximum of two terms, while the president, secretary and treasurer will cease to hold the post on attaining the age of 70 years.
