Kanaihya shines as JKP XI, Wave Cricket Club register emphatic wins

JAMMU, May 6: Wave Cricket Club and JKP XI registered convincing wins over their rivals in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel ground, today.
Wave Club defeated Vilas Reality Pvt Ltd by 29 runs in a high scoring game. Batting first, Wave Club scored a decent total of 189 runs in 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Kamalpreet scored 51 runs, while Gagan and Sunny contributed 33 and 41 runs to the total respectively. Gourav and Shamu took 2 wickets each for Vilas Reality.
In reply, Vilas Reality managed to score 160 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 29 runs. Gourav, Anil and Imran contributed 29, 28 and 25 runs to the total respectively. Sunny took 2 wickts for Wave Club, while Gagan, Aman and KD shared one wicket each.
In another match JKP XI thrashed VRCC by 41 runs. Batting first, JKP scored 153 runs, with Kanaihya top scoring with 58 runs off 47 balls, while Sunny and Vishal contributed 33 and 18 runs to the total respectively. Sunny took 2 wickets for VRCC.
In reply, VRCC was bundled out for 112 runs in 19.2 overs. Narinder Pal Singh (29) and Bobby (18) were the main contributors. For JKP XI, Skipper Rajesh Gill took 3 wickets, Abdul Majid and Imran bagged 2 wickets each, while Vishal claimed one wicket. Kanaihya Wadhawan was declared as man of the match for his splendid knock.
