Kanav wins U-12 boys below 30 kg gold

JAMMU, Oct 22: Kanav Sharma bagged gold in Under-12 boys below 30 kg weight category in the ongoing Jammu District Judo Championship, being organized by J&K Judo Association, under the auspices of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
Vanshveer Singh clinched silver, while Raman Sharma and Ritik Chib claimed bronze medals in this category.
In Under-12 boys below 35 kg, Shreesh Mansotra and Sahil Kumar bagged gold and silver respectively, while the bronze went to Rishab Slathia and Himanshu Sambyal.
In below 40 kg, Shivam and Abhyvir Singh clinched gold and silver, while the bronze medals were bagged by Hassan Shafqat and Nikhil.
The Under-12 boys 45 kg gold and silver went to Azad Chander and Vasudev Singh respectively, while the bronze medals went to Sambhav and Aryan Gupta and in above 50 kg Under-12 boys, Ritish and Lakhan Baru bagged gold and silver and Aman Choudhary and Nakul claimed bronze.
In Under-10 boys 25 kg category, Sourabh Sood claimed gold, Udhav Sharma bagged silver, while Sankeat Khajuria and Rahul Sharma claimed bronze and in Under-10 boys 30 kg, Pryaveer Singh and Anmol Bhagat clinched gold and silver, while Santosh Singh and Munish Sharma claimed bronze.
Arushman Sharma won gold in Under-10 boys 35 kg, while Vinay Bhat clinched silver and Ishit Gupta and Ansh Karlopia claimed bronze.
Meanwhile, in Under-14 boys 35 kg, Sumedh Singh and Pranav Jastotia bagged gold and silver, while Manik Billoria and Sumit Kumar claimed bronze.
Pardeep Singh bagged gold in Under-14 boys 40 kg, while Vikram bagged silver and the bronze went to Mridul and Hritik Sharma, while in 45 kg, Nikhil bagged gold and Shubham Manhas silver, while bronze was claimed by Aryan Gandotra and Shubam Sharma.
In Under-14 boys 50 kg, Sumit Kumar and Imtiaz bagged gold and silver, while Abdesh Singh and Udhav Gupta claimed bronze and in 55 kg, Sushant Baru and Paras Mehra clinched gold and silver respectively, while the bronze went to Puspraj and Shubam Nehru.
The Under-14 boys 60 kg gold went to Sehban Manhas, while Subhigya Singh won silver and the bronze medals were claimed by Yudhvir Singh and Hriday Sahi.
The matches were officiated by Suraj Bhan Singh, Vikas Dogra, Arshi Nad, Ritika Slathia and Bhanu Partap, while Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, working president J&K Judo Association was the guest of honour in today’s proceedings.
RC Thakur is chairman organizing committee and Rameshwar Singh is the organizing secretary. The Championship is being held under the supervision of Vikas Gupta, secretary, J&K Judo Association and joint secretary Judo Federation of India.
