JAMMU, Dec 14: Continuing his election campaign in favour of People’s Democratic Party candidates senior leader of the party Vikramaditya Singh today addressed public gatherings in some Kandi and border areas of Hiranagar Assembly constituency in Kathua district.
Expressing concern over bad candidates of roads and lack of drinking water facilities Vikramaditya Singh regretted that the Kandi and hilly areas have been totally ignored by the successive Government.
He said that previously ponds situated in these Kandi areas were maintained and nurtured with the result problem of water supply was minimal. But these days these vital ponds have dried up due to the negligent approach of the Government and concerned department, he said and added that this has created water shortage and people have been made to suffer. However, Singh assured the people that new PDP Government will solve the problem and they may not suffer any more after the new Govt. is installed. He also promised that road connectivity in these areas will be improved by repairing damaged roads and constructing new areas.
Vikramaditya Singh said that PDP has come with a mission of making J&K a model State and visionary leader like Mufti Mohd. Sayeed will fulfill this mission. He said that PDP believes in action and would do everything to solve the problems of the people through the length and breadth of the State.
He also promised that discrimination with these Kandi and remote villages will end and benefits of development will be made available in these areas also. Claiming that PDP has received great response during the election process so far and this will continue as the people have realized that this is the party which would come to their expectations and aspirations.
Addressing the meetings the party candidate Suraj Parkesh assured the people that if voted, he will ensure that all the problems of the people regarding basic facilities will be solved. Abijeet Singh Jasrotia, Hardev Singh Jasrotia, Ganga Singh also spoke in the public meeting.
