NEW DELHI : The Aam Aadmi Party faces uncertain times with sacked Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra promising to reveal big names close to Kejriwal who are connected to a massive water tanker scam.
Rumblings in the Aam Aadmi Party continue today with sacked Delhi Water Minister Kapil Mishra making a dramatic allegation, accusing Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of corruption.
Speaking to reporters at Rajghat today morning, Mishra claimed to have seen Kejriwal accept Rs 2 crore in cash from Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Kumar Jain.
The allegations come just a day after Sharma was shunted out of the Arvind Kejriwal cabinet in a move seen as a message by the AAP that it won’t tolerate indiscipline within the party.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, however, said Mishra was fired because of mismanagement that resulted in a major water crisis during the MCD polls. Aam Aadmi Party leaders believe that the water crisis was the reason for the party’s drubbing in Delhi’s civic polls, which saw the Bharatiya Janata Party win comfortable majorities.
Interestingly, Mishra backed party leader Kumar Vishwas who openly contradicted AAP’s position that EVMs were responsible for its defeat in the MCD polls.
Here is what Mishra said during his press conference today morning. (agencies)
