JAMMU, Jan 24: Councillor of Ward Number 32 of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Sat Paul Karlupia organized an enrollment camp at Talab Tillo.
During the camp many unemployed and needy youth were enrolled for setting up vends at proposed Rehri Zone which will be established in Jammu as part of Smart City Project.
Karlupia informed the youths at the camp that in Smart City, vends shall not be allowed anywhere but will have a certain place fixed by the urban local body.
He also started street light works at some leftover areas of his Ward and asked the people of the Ward to avoid single use plastic and polythene carry bags.
The Councillor said that the leftover works of the Ward will now be completed soon and sought cooperation from the public to make the Ward an ideal one.
He urged the residents of his Ward to properly use the services of garbage collecting autos and shun the habit of throwing garbage here and there to make the Ward a neat and clean place.
