SRINAGAR, Apr 4: The weekly ‘Karvan-e-Aman’ bus service, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), has been suspended today.
“We have received information four days ago that the cross Line of Control (LoC) bus will not run on Monday because of security reasons in PoK,” official sources said.
They said  the 37th death anniversary of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) founder and former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was being observed today in Pakistan and PoK.
Moreover  the officials said those who were scheduled to travel in the bus were informed accordingly. However, another report said that there were landslides and shooting stones across the LoC due to torrential rain during the past two days.
A number of persons were killed and scores injured in the landslides.  This is the second time the bus service has been suspended during the past about a month. On March 14 the bus service was suspended due to landslides in PoK side.
