Kashmir Division dominates U-19 girls Carrom Championship

JAMMU, Aug 22: Kashmir Division dominated in the Inter-Division Carrom all age group girls Tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Youth Hostel, Nagrota, here.
The competition is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed, Director Youth Services & Sports and under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports, while Chanchal Kour DYSSO Jammu is organizing secretary of the competition.
The main objective of the competition is to select the teams of J&K State for further participation at National Level competitions 2017.
In Carrom Under-14 girls singles, Sheetal Lakhotra of Jammu emerged winner, and Mehvish Khaliq of Jammu was the runners-up, while in Carrom Under-14 girls doubles, Lyzo Bano and Arzoo Iffaq of Jammu were the winners and Mehak Jan and Farida Jan of Kashmir Division were runners-up.
In Carrom Under-14 girls singles, Mehak Jan of Kashmir was the winner, while Avantika Kotwal of Jammu Division was the runners-up
In Carrom Under-17 girls singles, Jainav Nisar of Kashmir Division emerged winner and Sukhpreet Kour of Jammu Division was the runners-up
In Carrom Under-17 girls doubles, Mehki Jan and Aroja Rashid of Kashmir was the winner and Kamakshi Jamwal and Sufia Khan of Jammu emerged runners-up.
In Carrom Under-17 girls singles, Farhana Fayaz of Kashmir Division was the winner and Vanshika Sharma of Jammu Division was the runners-up
In Carrom Under-19 girls singles, Beauty Jan of Kashmir Division was the winner and Vanshika Gupta of Jammu Division was the runners-up, while in Carrom Under-/19 girls doubles, Aqsa and Homirah of Kashmir Division were the winners and Tanvi Jamwal and Sonika Devi of Jammu were the runners-up
IN Carrom Under-19 girls singles, Adfar Mir of Kashmir Division was the winner and Tanvi Jamwal of Jammu Division was the runners-up, while in Carrom Under-19 girls doubles, Adfar Mir and Beauty Jan of Kashmir emerged winners and Raksha Koul and Deepanshi Suri of Jammu remained runners-up.
The matches were officiated by Showkat Andrabi, Kamal Singh, Dheeraj, Ravinder, Amit Kalsi and Myank Jain.
