Kashmir FC shocks league leaders Chanmari FC in I-League

JAMMU, Apr 7: Kashmir FC registered a monumental win against high flying Chanmari FC in a top of the table clash in I-league Division 2nd at Siliguri in West Bengal.
Kashmir FC maintained their reputation of attacking football with Shanawaz and Aman displaying extraordinary skill. Chanmari took the advantage with an attempt from a rebound on an attempted free kick and scored the first goal.
In the second half, Kashmir FC pressed hard for the equalizer with Shahnawaz and Aman putting great efforts and finally Christopher assisted Ajay to score delightful finish.
The team then went into the lead when Jagpreet was fouled inside the box to which the referee awarded a penalty and it was Christopher who calmly dispatched the ball into the net. The final score was (2-1) in favour of Kashmir FC.
Coach Hilal said, “Its a fantastic win. The lads played very well even though we conceded first but the team didn’t hold back and carried on their own game for which they were rewarded.”
Club Secretary Majid Dar felt ecstatic with the win.
