SRINAGAR : Hundreds of vehicles, including trucks loaded with essentials and carrying passengers today left Jammu for Srinagar on the highway, connecting the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country. However, no vehicle was allowed from Srinagar as only one-way traffic will continue till further orders, traffic police officials said.
They said though there was improvement in the weather condition for the past few days, but there is prediction for more snowfall from later today.
The highway will remain open for only one-way till further orders as a precautionary measure, they said, adding one-way traffic has helped to avoid traffic jam on the highway.
Only one-way traffic is allowed on the highway for the past about one month after first heavy snowfall. (AGENCIES)
