Kashmir outplays Jammu by 20 runs

JAMMU, Nov 4: Kashmir division outplayed Jammu division by 20 runs in the Inter-Division Under-16 Cricket Tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Government High School Ground, Satwari, here.
Earlier, batting first, Kashmir division scored 131 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Shabir Ali slammed a marvelous half-century (50) off 49 balls, Rashid contributed 19 runs to the total. Ikhlaq was the pick of the bowlers for Jammu division, who captured 3 important wickets.
In reply, Jammu division managed to score 111 runs in 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process, thus lost the match by 20 runs. Akhlaq (26)  and Ankush (15) were the main contributors. For Kashmir division, Shahid and Dawar claimed 2 wickets each.
The match was officiated by Jagtar Singh, Suresh Singh, Pankaj Sasan, Madan Mohan and Mukesh Sharma.
Meanwhile, in Under-17 boys hockey, Jammu division defeated Kashmir division by one goal to nil (1-0).
