Kashmir United FC lifts Pele of Kashmir trophy

JAMMU, Nov 19: Kashmir United FC lifted the final trophy of ‘Pele of Kashmir Football Tournament’ by defeating Syed Tajuddin FC by 4 goals to nil played at Eidgah Playfield, here today.
The final match was witnessed by thousands of football fans, who had thronged to the venue from almost all nearby areas. In the closely contested match, Kashmir United FC defeated Syed Tajuddin FC by four goals to nil.
Right from the start of the match, the Kashmir United FC played an aggressive game and made attacks on opposite goalposts frequently and secured four goals, while Syed Tajuddin FC tried hard to find the net but didn’t cross the defence line of the opposite team.
The function was presided over by Fayaz Ahmad Sofi, president DFA Srinagar. Mohamamd Amin Khan, executive member JKFA, Mushtaq Ahmad Kanth, senior member JKFA and Tariq Madni, secretary DFA Srinagar were present during the event.
The dignitaries of the event distributed trophies, medals and other awards to the players and officials of the participating teams.
The tournament was organized by Players Welfare Forum Eidgah under the aegis of DFA Srinagar (JKFA).
