SRINAGAR: A whopping 134 youth have received eye injuries while over 3,000 people, half of them security force personnel, have been wounded in six days since protests broke out following the killing of top Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Burhan Wani on Friday evening.
A State Government spokesperson said the required facilities including the availability of medical specialists, para-medical staff and medicines have been ensured in all the hospitals, to facilitate timely and free treatment to all the patients.
Even though the Government has put toll at 31, as many as 38 people, including a policeman, have lost their lives in the unrest in Kashmir, where life remained crippled for the sixth consecutive day today due to strike and curfew restrictions. (AGENCIES)
