Kashmiri Pandit Premier League from Nov15

JAMMU, Oct 14: Volunteers of Kashmiri Pandit community under the banner of Iqwat Sports Organisation is going to organise Kashmiri Pandit Premier League (KPPL) at KC Sports Club Ground from November 15.
Top 16 Kashmiri Pandit Cricket teams will participate in the tournament, which will be grouped in four pools with four teams each. “The teams have already confirmed their entries for this mega cricket event, which will be played on league cum knockout basis, with “all play all patern in the league/pool phase” to be followed by QFs and semis in the knockout stage/phase,” said organiser, Ashish Kachroo.
For boosting the morale of young cricketers, the organising team have invited top Indian cricketer and IPL star Suresh Raina as chief guest of the closing ceremony which is scheduled to be held on November 30, he said.
All the participating teams will be provided with good quality colour uniforms, besides match balls, breakfast, lunch and other allied requisite items while the top performers of the tournament in different department of the game will also be felicitated.
The organisers assured that the SOPs and guidelines by the Govt in connection with COVID-19 pandemic will be followed in letter and spirit.
