Kashmiri students ‘harassed’ in Desh Bhagat University

FATEHGARH SAHIB: A few Kashmiri students of Desh Bhagat University, Amloh campus, of Punjab alleged that some unidentified persons harassed them on the intervening night of September 25-26.

On the other hand Amloh police and the university authorities have denied the charges. As per a Kashmiri student, some people gathered outside their hostel rooms and abused them. They knocked their rooms and repeatedly asked us (Kashmiri students) to come out of the rooms on Sunday night. The harassed students immediately informed the local police.

When contacted Amloh SHO Dalbir Singh said after receiving information on Sunday night the police team immediately reached there. They thoroughly investigated the matter and found that it was only rumour. They inquired from other students living in the hostel about the incident but they said nothing sort of happened in the university. (AGENCIES)
