KATHUA, Oct 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Roller Skating Association, under the leadership of President G.S. Khurmi, hosted the Kathua District Skating Championship at Delhi Public School, Rajbagh here today. This exciting event attracted skaters from various age groups, who showcased their impressive skills and passion for roller skating.
The championship celebrated both individual talent and sportsmanship, as young athletes competed in different categories, including the 5-7, 7-9, 9-11, 11-14, and 14-17 age groups. In the 5-7 years category, Abhiyan Sangral and Kamakshi Saini each claimed a gold medal. In the 7-9 years loose bearing division, Avyan won gold, Divashish earned silver, and Aarav Sedra took bronze, while Divyanshi secured gold in the girls’ category.
In the Quad division for the 7-9 years category, Rabnoor, Priyanshu, Davik, Amayra Gupta, Rizal Jamwal, and Rishita Dogra won medals, while the 9-11 years category saw Dhairya, Udhav, Reeyansh, Suhani, and Vanika shine in the Quad category. Gunvansh, Bhavanveer, Jaskeertat, and Divanshi excelled in the Inline division for the same age group.
For the 11-14 years Quad category, Munish, Daksh, Alex, Avyasu, Yajeashwar, Raghav, Aditi, Naddar, and Mannat were standout performers, while Samarth, Tarun, and Maheshwar dominated the Inline category. The 14-17 years Quad division featured strong performances from Sushant, Chirag, Ahemdeep, Parik, Rigved, Kaniya, Ashmita, and Tanish, all of whom won medals. President G.S. Khurmi congratulated all the winners and participants, recognizing their dedication and enthusiasm.
