JAMMU, Nov 15: Dr Shivakshi Jasrotia of Kathua has won the prestigious Best Innovation Project Award at the first BRICS-EAEU meet, held at Moscow, last month.
Dr Shivakshi, grand daughter of Th Baldev Singh (Ex-MP Kathua) and daughter of
Kulbir Singh Jasrotia and Asha Jasrotia, was amongst the four delegates, selected to represent India in BRICS-EAEU meet as Junior Scientist.
The 3-day International Youth Forum on Science and Innovation of BRICS -EAEU in Moscow, was attended by delegations from Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
The participants attended topical lectures and workshops, round-table discussions at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Civic Chamber of Russia, as well as an excursion trip around Moscow with visiting main attractions of the city.
During the Forum, participants and delegates presented their innovative projects in four key areas/ sectors, which include; Energy, Medicine and Health, IT and Agriculture. The section devoted to projects in the Energy sector was moderated by the leading lawyer of “Lobby Consult” Alexey Ezhov. The awards were given in three categories; Innovative Idea, Innovative Product and Innovative Project. For the section of Innovative Project in Energy development, Shivakshi Jasrotia secured the first place amongst all participating nations of BRICS and EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union).
The ideas of winners will be supported by the BRICS and EAEU countries.
