KATHUA, Dec 6: Kathua Media 11 defeated Kathua Warriors by 23 runs in a friendly cricket match held at the Government Degree College grounds in Kathua. The match aimed to foster sportsmanship and strengthen bonds between journalists and social activists.
Kathua Media 11 batted first, setting a competitive target. They displayed steady innings, accelerating towards the end. Kathua Warriors, despite their spirited chase, fell short due to disciplined bowling by Kathua Media 11, resulting in a 23-run defeat.
Former Deputy CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, the chief guest, felicitated the winners and presented the trophy to Kathua Media 11. He emphasized the importance of such events in bringing communities together and promoting sportsmanship.
