KATHUA, May 4: District police Kathua today recovered approximately seven grams of Heroin like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of PS Kathua near Chak Drab Khan and one lady was arrested in this connection.
On the overall directions of SSP Kathua, R.C Kotwal yesterday a police team of Police Station (PS) Kathua led by Inspector, O P Chib SHO PS Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Kathua, Shammi Kumar during patrolling duty near Chak Drab Khan, Kathua noticed the movement of one suspicious lady who was enrouted from village Chak Drab Khan Kathua by foot who was directed to stop for checking. On his physical search, approximately 6-7 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics was recovered from the illegal possession of one lady namely Ravinder Kumari wife of Laxman Dass of Chak Drab Khan, district Kathua.
Meanwhile all the recovered narcotics substance was seized and one lady was arrested. A case vide FIR No. 174/2022 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act stands registered at PS Kathua and further investigation was set into probe.
