Kathua Police organises Painting Competition

KATHUA, Mar 16: District Police Kathua organized an Inter-School Painting Competition on the themes ‘Environmental Pollution’ and ‘Gender Bias’, under Civic Action Programme (CAP) at District Police Lines, here today.
SSP Kathua, Atul Kumar Goel was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed cash awards, mementoes and certificates among the winners in the valedictory function.
In junior category, Mannu Verma bagged first position, while Sourav Sharma and Sheetal Bhagat claimed second and third place respectively.
Rahul Kumar claimed first place in senior category, while the second place was shared by Gourav Sharma and Rahul Sharma and the third place went to Manisha Bharati.
Meanwhile, in open category, participants from Painting School Basohli Sukhdev Singh, Rajni Bala and Nitika Mahajan bagged first, second and third prize respectively.
While felicitating the winners the chief guest gave detail of the events organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police under Civic Action Programme.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were ZN Manhas, Additional SP Kathua, Rohit Baskotra, Dy SP DAR, S Daljeet Singh, Dy SP Hqrs, Dr Rohail Mircha, Dy SP (P) and Inspectors Pardeep Sharma, Kuldeep Kumar and Amit Singh. Line Officer (LO) Romesh Chander was also present on the occasion.
